North West based insurance specialist, Doodson Broking Group has joined forces with CCM Racing for the 2009 season, ready for when the all-British based team goes in search of both World and domestic glory.

Doodson will be the official insurance partner of the three-rider squad that includes Tom Church, Ray Rowson and Jason Dougan, who will all operate under the close guidance of four times World champion David Thorpe. The CCM trio will compete in all seventeen rounds of the 2009 FIM World Motocross Championship, plus the entire eight counting events that will make up next year’s Maxxis British series.

Doodson has gained its excellent reputation over the last forty years by providing cover for all types of sports and events, and in more recent times through its involvement in various forms of motorsport. Doodson pride itself on having a team of people who can offer their customer’s the right package as a result of their knowledge gained through working with these specialised sectors. The extent of Doodson’s services is wide ranging and includes providing policies for governing bodies, event organisers, dealers, suppliers and riders. So irrespective of what type of cover you are looking for, be it event liability, cancellation, personal accident, bike, van, motorhome or equipment, it is more than likely that Doodson will be able to help.

Neil Clayton, Managing Director of Doodson Motorsport, said. “My own personal involvement in motocross dates back twenty-five years.  Although I have never actually ridden, my passion for the sport has seen me travel to events throughout the UK and across Europe. As a company, Doodson is very much focussed on re-investing in the sport, to make sure that those that have the talent to succeed are supported in a way that their true potential can be realised.”

Clayton ended. “It is for these kind of reasons we are excited to be involved with CCM Racing and its riders, and at having the opportunity to work with David Thorpe. It will be really good to see both CCM and Thorpe back on the World stage once again, and to being part of the team at the events both home and abroad.”

CCM Racing’s Team Principle, Gary Harthern confirmed his delight at the deal. “We have embarked on an ambitious project to put CCM back at the highest level, so it is great to have the support of Doodson, who have a great understanding of what we are trying to achieve. Obviously Neil has his own personal interest in what we are doing, but this is backed up on a business footing by the fact that Doodson as a company are committed to putting something back into the sport, and giving the young riders in this country a real chance to fulfil their goals.”

“I hope that this is the start of a long and successful relationship that will repay the faith that both Neil and Doodson have showed in us with the kind support they have provided.” Harthern concluded.
