Buildbase CCM Racings’ 2 MX1 GP riders Tom Church and Stephen Sword will
head off to Bulgaria in the next week to begin their assault on the
2010 FIM World MX1 Championship. Fresh from their success at British
Championship level, both riders are prepared to begin their
international season aboard their CCM CMX 450 MX bikes.
The new 2010 CMX450 has a revised suspension setting and improved engine
power. Both riders are very happy with their bikes and the way they
have made big strides in the early part of the season to reach good set
ups on their bikes. The target for Buildbase CCM Racing for 2010 is to
win the British MX1 Championship and to achieve a top 10 position in the
World MX1 Championships.
Stephen Sword who is the current
British MX2 Champion and is currently lying in 2nd place in the 2010 MX1
British Championship said “I feel very much at home in this team and we
can see that every effort is being made by the team to give me what I
need to achieve CCM’s targets both at home and on the GP scene. 2010
should be an exciting year for both me and the CCM team.”
Tom
Church who is in his second year with Buildbase CCM Racing and finished
top British rider in the 2009 MX1 World Championship commented “09 was a
good learning year for Buildbase CCM Racing and we have a lot to build
on from last season. This year the team are more focused and we can deal
with issues more quickly and we are in a good position for the start of
the season compared to 09, last year it took us a few months to get our
act together but this year we are on it from the beginning”
Four
times World MX Champion and Buildbase CCM’s Sporting Director said” we
are looking forward to Bulgaria and the start of our international
campaign, the most important thing is that we come away from this with a
respectable result and injury free, it is a long season and there is a
lot for Buildbase CCM Racing to achieve.”
