Reigning Shorttrack UK Champion Marco Belli remains on course to retain his title after recording another runners up placing at the latest round of this year’s series. The Italian fought hard to secure his third victory of the current campaign, but in the end had to settle for second place behind his main rival Peter Boast.

Whatley takes second place in British MMX Under 21 Years Old Championship

CCM Racing’s Kristian Whatley narrowly missed out of taking the British MMX Under 21 Years Old Championship following a battling day at the final round of the series held at Cusses Gorse near Salisbury. With only an outside chance of snatching the title away from eventual winner Alex Snow, Whatley put up a brave attempt to finish third overall on the day and second in the final championship standings despite a mid season injury.

CCM’s Marco Belli extended his lead at the head of the 2008 Silkolene Shorttrack UK Championship with a solid second place at round four of the series held at Buxton Raceway. Whilst Belli was unable to take the victory on this occasion, the Italian gained valuable points in the title race, as his closest rival Peter Boast could only manage fourth spot this time out.

Church agrees two-year deal with CCM Racing

CCM Racing’s Sporting Director David Thorpe is delighted to announce Tom Church as being his second signing to join the all-British team next season. The twenty six year old from Marshfield has been a target for Thorpe for several weeks, with Church already benefitting from the four times World champion’s training services along with his current Molson team mate Stephen Sword.

Rowson signs to join CCM Racing in 2009

Nineteen year old Ray Rowson is the first rider to be recruited by CCM Racing’s new Sporting Director David Thorpe, as the team readies itself for 2009. The teenager from Shrewsbury has been enjoying a recent run of good form after returning from an early season injury.
