CCM supports five day classic extravaganza in the Lake District |
CCM Motorcycles is proud to announce that it will once again take pride of place as title sponsor for the Nostalgia event, run by the Kendal Classic Motorcycle Club from 15th through to 19th August 2007 inclusive.
This well established event, now in its fifth year, has once again attracted riders from all over the UK. The traditional scramble on the Sunday will be a suitably prestigious finale to this classic sporting occasion with many well known names from yester era competing for top honours.
CCM will be in full attendance with key factory personnel on hand to answer any questions about the full range of models that the Bolton based British manufacturer will have on display.
The five days of activity kicked off on Wednesday 15th August with a road bike tour of the famous Lake District, starting and finishing at Kendal Town Football Club. Today (Thursday 16th August) will see the action shift away from the tarmac, with a trail ride in association with The Trail Riders Federation.
The off road theme will continue on Friday 17th August with the Classic Bike re-run of 1913 ISDT route, which was originally run in the Lake District.
Saturday 18th August marks the start of the competitive action as the Greeves / Coniston Brewery supported trial gets under way. In addition to this there will be an even bigger and better display of classic bikes plus a knock out MX ‘sprint to the line' competition.
This great five day classic extravaganza will be brought to a close by the scramble that will take place on Sunday 19th August, when the likes of veteran riders Jimmy Aird, Norman Barrow and Mike Barnes take to the track in their bid to claim the most important silverware of the weekend.
